Q School

AO: Black Water

When: 2025-12-16

QIC: Ma Bell

PAX (15): Better Call Saul, DDoS, Ditch Witch, Fauci, Geek Squad, Jiminy, Klinger, Mantooth, Ruby, Samsonite, Schrute, Seaman, UMass-Todd Doherty, Yeah-Yeah

Preamble:

The growth in F3 Cumming has been phenomenal this year. Several of our newcomers haven't Q'd and YHC has observed some abysmal cadence counting. So YHC thought it was a good time for Q School to be in session. Veterans showed up and contributed their experiences, ideas, and thoughts as well. Even YHC was reminded of several things while preparing the "lesson" which will be incorporated into the lesson plan for next time.

Warm-O-Rama:

Jog over to the little shelter where we talked through concepts of F3, Q planning, conducting and adjusting a Q, the reason for, and proper way of, cadence counting, and a warmup where several PAX got to practice what they learned.

The Thang:

YHC modeled a simple Thang where we did Paula Abuduls - two balls forward, one ball back with Merkins and LBCs. Then YHC turned the reigns over to Samsonite and Geek Squad who led a set of 11s until it was time to audible and apple sauce back to the flag for Mary. Mary was round robin where PAX took turns (in a rotating fashion) leading the PAX in Mary exercises, culminating in a set of hundos.

COT:

Count-a-rama, Name-a-rama, continued discussion for leading COT and Qing, prayers, BOM.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

We still have some work to do with cadence counting, which comes with practice. Sign up to Q and force yourself to get better! The PAX also look forward to fresh ideas. Don't worry about failure. Not every idea that sounds good on paper works well in practice. We've all been there. Just roll with it. The PAX is there to pick you up! If not, make them do burpees! Thanks to everyone who was able to make it out. It was a great mix of newcomers and veterans - same as you're likely to find at any AO. MIAGD, Go Pack, HTTR, and as always, GTHC!
