Revisiting Hounds and Hares

Preamble:

Wanted to bring back the old hounds and hares format to allow for a challenge for the fast runners and still have something for the more casual runner. Split into two routes around the pine lake community (across the street from the cumming city center). The hounds would do 5.2miles by spending an extra mile running around the church before getting back onto the route for the hares which is 4.25miles.

Warm-O-Rama:

Nope - just went straight into the run

The Thang:

Only two PAX signed up for the Hounds and the rest 7 were on the hares route. The hares stuck mostly together except for a couple of PAX covering the six. All of them took wrong turns and one group did double backs. Lesson learnt - make sure everyone knows the route! Pretty much everyone (including the hounds) didn't make the actual route and ended up having the teams double back. Eventually everyone got their planned miles in and it was a tough route with rolling hills (read as factor more time next time).

COT:

Announcements:  "Tower of Power" for new year's eve at tower road. Everyone took a knee for 30 seconds to reflect on what's important for them in the holiday season and prioritize their time for the same.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Great route - but in future get better instructions on the route and factor for rolling hills.
