Mosey down to lower soccer field where 4 cones were set up in a rectangle (~70ft by ~30ft). We ran through one session to get everyone familiarized with the main event. Ended with this quote by Atomic Habits author James Clear (also shared on Slack last week):Mental toughness is often framed as the perseverance that gets you across the finish line:But most days, mental toughness isn't about crossing the finish line. It's about getting to the starting line.
- Find a way to make it happen
- Push through the pain
- Grind it out to the end
Mental toughness is not skipping the days that are easy to skip.
- Show up when no one is watching
- Keep your eye on the ball
- Do a little bit every day
