Preamble:

Mumble chatter of a AO needed on the northend for a Friday option has been around awhile and it was finally time to stop talking and start doing. Fauci worked on a graphic for The Mine at Coal Mountain Park and it was too bad ass not to make it happen. The launch was announced on Slack and PAX got excited. Unfortunately, some unforeseen construction at the parking lot where the flag was supposed to be planted made us pivot the night before, but nonetheless, PAX found their way to the flag and The Mine was ready for business.

Warm-O-Rama:

The original plan was to explore the park a bit for the launch, but other construction projects changed that. But for the Warm-o-Ram, PAX moseyed down to the bottom parking lot and circled up for some Good Mornings, Weed Pickers, SSHs, Windmills, Moroccan Night Clubs, and Michael Phelps OYO. We then moseyed back to our cinders by the flag to start The Thang!

The Thang:

Once back at the cinders, PAX partnered up for a modified DORA. An even 20 made this work perfectly. DORA consisted of 50 Thrusters, 100 Hand Release Merkins, & 150 E2Ks. One partner exercised while the other ran around the parking lot island and back. The modified version was a nice call instead of the standard 100, 200, 300 count (lots of groans were heard during HRMs). Next, we moseyed to the football field and lined up on the sideline. Any HIM who has attended one of my BeatDowns has probably performed (or at least heard of) Mantooth's Merkin Mile. Welp, we did a mini version of this and did Mantooth's Mini Merkin Mile which consisted of a sideline to sideline down and back, then 10 merkins in 1:00. Any time remaining on the clock is rest until the 1:00 is up and the next round begins. We did this for 4 rounds. After that, we split into two groups for an Indian Run around the border of the field. Once all PAX have gone through, that group would stop for 5 No-Cheat Merkins. Once we got all the way around the border of the field, we lined back up on the sideline for the remaining 10ish minutes. The last part of The Thang was a round of 11's. One sideline was BBS and the other sideline was squats. Started with 1 BBS and 10 squats and worked our way through until 2 minutes left to head back to the flag. Once back at the flag, we got on our six for some American Hammers for :45 seconds and then time was called.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

It's a honor to be named site-Q of this new AO and I won't take this lightly. I'm looking forward to going deeper and growing our region for the men who could benefit from F3! Big shoutout to Ditch Witch and Fauci for getting the shovel flag and having it engraved. Best shovel flag in the region (come at me!)! Let's keep this thing going! Love you men!
