I knew we were going to run that hill

Preamble:

“You’ve got the Q tomorrow, take it easy on us” was the savior that kept me from showing up Fri morning unprepared. Usually when I sign up to Q I put it on my calendar BUT this time I didn’t. Thanks Rusty!

Warm-O-Rama:

As the last PAX came in hot it was time to begin with a warmup. SSH, Imperial Walker, Weedpicker and Copperhead squats. Then it was time to mosey to the pull up bars.

The Thang:

Once at the pull-up station, we started out with morning call – while pax did pull-ups, other pax did merkins in cadence as the pax doing pull-ups called their count. The rep count for the pull-ups was….how many electoral college votes in the state of Nevada. After morning call #1 we started on another mosey to the sit up station for morning call #2. This time it was big boy situps for one pax on the sit up station and while that pax called out their count, the rest of us did LBCs. The rep count was how many electoral college votes in the state of GA. Sorry you got a booboo on the sit up station Woody.  Once we finished up it was back to a mosey around the Sweet Apple trails to the parking lot by the sports field.

As we made our way through the parking lot and toward the top of hill, Sprocket said something like I knew we were going to run that hill. He was right. Next up was “Brokeback Mtn” – PAX partnered up. Partner 1 did burpees, while partner 2 ran down to the bottom of the hill and then ran backwards up the hill. Flapjack and then rinse and repeat for 5 rounds. Once done it was onto a quick round of an escalating 4 corners.

4 Corners:

Corner 1: 10 merkins run to next corner

Corner 2: 10 merkins, 20 squats, bear crawl to next corner

Corner 3: 10 merkins, 20 squats, 30 mtn climbers, run to next corner

Corner 4: 10 merkins, 20 squats, 30 mtn climbers, 40 flutter kicks.

We couldn’t quite get through all of corner 4 until it was time to mosey back to the flag for one quick round of Mary before we hit time.
