Preamble:
Brownie’s ghostwriter here. Cool but not cold morning for some fun on the pitch. Two pre-runners joined 10 others including an FNG. Disclaimer was given and we were off.
Warm-O-Rama:
Mosey to the left (south?) pitch and circle up for:
- World’s greatest stretch
- Windmills x15
- Toy soldiers x15
The Thang:
To the end line where a board of pain awaited. Five rounds of fun. Start with 10 each of the following:
- Squats
- Big bois
- Mercans
- Burpees
Run 50 meters (metres? yards?)
Repeat 4x adding 10 reps to squats, BBSUs, and mercans. Add 5 reps to burpees and 50 running units to each run. Guys who finished completed 150 each of the first three exercises and 100 burpees. Various other exercises were called while the six finished up.
Indian run a lap and then to the flag for a round of mountain climbers.
COT:
Welcome FNG Alice who just happens to be the father of Raspberry Pi. He showed us how it’s done at age 62!
Prayers and praises were lifted up and then Brownie (I mean YHC) closed us in prayer.
Thanks as always to Spandex for bringing the coffee. Macbeth blessed us with a few pounds of his company’s coffee which we hope to enjoy next week. Thank you Macbeth!!
Naked-Man Moleskin:
Backblasts after each workout are key to allowing us to track who was there and, more importantly, who was not there so we can reach back out to guys who have missed to give them some encouragement. Do your backblasts or ask someone to help you. I hear Speedo will do it if you ask nicely and give him some prune juice.
— Shiner (who wasn’t there but somehow knew what was done)
