Knock the Rust Off Spring Break

Preamble:

It had been too long since I've Q'd at Black Water and since it was open, I grabbed it over the weekend. 

Warm-O-Rama:

PAX moseyed to the new parking lot and circled up for some Good Mornings, Weed Pickers, Willie Mays Hayes, SSHs, Michael Phelps OYO, and Moroccan Night Clubs. 

The Thang:

We haven't utilized the new parking lot at Black Water, so I thought it was time. According to Footpath, it was .15 miles for a lap around it. So you know I had to incorporate Mantooth's Merkin Mile there. This made it 7 laps for a mile and I made it 15 merkins per round for a total of 105 merkins and 1.05 miles. Oh... and the time to complete each round was 1:30 minutes. This proved to get the HR up and not a lot of recovery time for the majority of PAX. Also... around round 2 or 3, a rando truck pulled into the parking lot almost crushing my phone (aka the timer) and YHC was almost devastated. The phone moved to the curb as soon as I got back to it. 

After M^3, PAX moseyed to the fountain for a ab focused ladder. Starting at the fountain, we had 10 Big Boy Situps, run down the stairs and deposit 2 Burpees, then run down to the amphitheater for 20 American Hammers (CC). Back up to the landing for the 2 Burpee deposit, then back up the stairs for 12 BBS. BBS increased by 2 and AH decreased by 2 until were back to 20 - 10. Instructing PAX to keep fingers locked behind the head and heels on the ground for BBS made for some moans and groans as the reps kept increasing. Baskins even commented on it sounding like his favorite adult videos or something to that extent...

Once PAX completed the ladder, we had a few minutes left so we moseyed back to the flag parking lot and partnered up for a try at Back to the Future Run. This is where partners run opposite directions (clockwise and CCW) while one runs forward and the other runs backwards. Once they meet, they switch running styles. We completed 4 or 5 laps around the parking lot until time to head to the flag.

Prayers for Waldo's Mother-in-Law and for Seaman's termite problem with his garage.

Baskins announced a potential service trip up to NC in the summer and is gauging interest (3rd F channel and new channel for the project)

It's always a pleasure to lead the fine Cumming Men and feels good knowing I contributed to a high heart rate during the lead. Next month will be my 3 year F3aversary where it all started for me at Black Water. Join me!
