The Steak, aka “The 100” (or was it 160?)

AO: The H0.0ch

When: 05/20/2020

QIC: Saint2O

PAX (6): Readymix, Meatball, Splinter, Piggy, Ballboy, Saint2O

Preamble:

Due to my no running orders from the Dr, YHC planned a 0.0 for a throwback of The H0.0ch in the 5:30am timeslot, or the Steak dinner before the Tiramisu was brought by the 6:15 crowd at The Hooch (a VQ by Julius). Dark Sky said it was going to rain, so YHC set up in the covered area by Twisted Taco, and headed back to put up the flag.

Warm-O-Rama:

Warmed up with:

  • Windmills
  • Weed Pickers
  • Imperial Walkers
  • Moroccan Nightclubs

The Thang:

Headed over to the covered area with our own personal coupons, where the whiteboard of pain was waiting, along with some tunes to make the time go faster. YHC explained the board, and then turned on Metallica, and off we went:

The 100

  • 100 Side Straddle Hops
  • 90 Star Jumps
  • 80 Mountain Climbers
  • 70 Big Boy Situps
  • 60 Curls with coupon (or monkey humpers)
  • 50 Skull Crushers with coupon (or Squats)
  • 40 Merkins
  • 30 Overhead Press with coupon (or donkey kicks)
  • 20 Burpees
  • 10 Froggers

These PAX were so efficient with the first 100, that YHC instructed them to start at 10 and go back up to 60, which they did with much effectiveness.

After that, it felt like we needed a little legs work, so we did a Lt. Dan, which was 1 squat, 4 lunges, going up to 10 squats, 40 lunges.

After that we had just enough time for each PAX to call his favorite Mary:

  • Dying Cockroach
  • American Hammer
  • J-Lo
  • (can’t remember what Meatball picked)
  • Gas pumpers
  • Birth canal

COT:

Praise for each other, pushing each other, and supporting each other.

Prayers of thanks for all our blessings, and for those that are experiencing hardship.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

YHC was told by the expert (orthopedic Dr.) that it’s a “femoral neck stress reaction” (feel free to look that up), which made me feel good that it wasn’t a fracture, according to the x-ray. However, he told me to not run for a month and then see him again, and go for a run right before. This is really killing me because running has always been a part of my life, and this really sucks. However, thinking back to when it happened a month before YHC went in to the Dr., maybe it was a slight fracture, and by the time YHC went in, it had healed a bit so it wasn’t noticeable on the x-ray. It has taught me to start listening to my body more and being smarter with my health, it was dumb of me to not get expert analysis, since this injury felt so different than anything in the past. Even still, YHC tried to push through it and possibly made it worse in doing so. As we get older, we need to listen to our bodies and if something is new and different, go see an expert.

BTW, I’m EH’ing my Dr. He said he’s heard of F3, and would check it out.
