Preamble:
A large group of hearty men convened at the Dunwoody Nature Center to experience the first really nice, cool Fall morning of the year! Little did they know that breakfast would be served with a Grateful Dead and Crab croissant (along with some Mary appetizers). All were “pleased” by the end of the beatdown!
Warm-O-Rama:
15 Side Straddle Hops, 10 Stone Mountains, 15 Imperial Walkers, 10 Floyd Mayweathers, 15 Mary Katherines, 10 Baryshnikovs (ea. leg) i.c. Rinse & Repeat
The Thang:
Grateful Dead
Mosey to Forest Trail (it was a little bit dark in the woods!) and run up the Nature Center hill to Roberts Drive.
Curb Derkins 10 i.c. 3X
Mosey to Austin cul-de-sac for Mary: 20 ABCs i.c., 20 Heels-to-Heaven i.c., 20 Box-cutters i.c.
Lunge walk back up the hill to the west side parking lot
Alternate crab walks and fiddler crabs to the other end of the lot (crab taps for the 6)
Mosey to base of Nature Center Hill for the Crowd Pleaser: 5 burpees at the bottom, run up the hill stopping at 3 stations for 5 merkins at each station, 1 burpee at the top, run back down the hill stopping at the same 3 stations for 5 merkins at each one. Decrease by 1 burpee at the bottom and increase by 1 at the top each trip up and down the hill. Finish at the top with low, slow squats for the six.
Slow mosey back to the bottom of the hill.
Grateful Dead (then 5 Burpees oyo to make it a full hour!)
COT:
Leon took us out with special emphasis on Gilligan’s sister-in-law (who passed away this past week) and their family. Announcement regarding volunteer work day at DNC; requested all PAX to attend.
Naked-Man Moleskin:
Great coffeeteria at large tree by Fresh Market. YHC really appreciates the enthusiasm created by Team Mom and his paper plate awards (not just because I got one today!). He has brought an energy and love of life to our group that we all can emulate! Good to see a number of PAX doing a Starsky (Fizz, Madoff and Sleeper) and look forward to the time when they are back in the groove with us. YHC certainly appreciated all the “welcome back” good wishes!
