Opening Day

AO: The Phoenix

When: 2025-03-26

QIC: Pinkman

PAX (8): Ditch Witch, Krystal, Mantooth, Mr. Hand, Pinkman, Roger Packham, Schneider, The Body

Preamble:

With the MLB season kicking off this week YHC thought a baseball themed beatdown was in order and YHC's 2.0 had received a glow in the dark wiffleball bat and ball for his birthday. The perfect prop for a baseball themed beatdown.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey to the top of the parking lot for the standard fare:
  • SSH
  • Windmills
  • Moroccan Night Clubs
  • Willie Mayes Hayes
  • Good Mornings

The Thang:

Mosey to the small baseball field where PAX met a board and some quick instructions. On the board we have 9 "innings" which consisted of 3 different exercises. The rep count would be determined by the PAX ability to hit a wiffle ball (the ball was supposed to glow in the dark but we quickly found the batteries were dying, this only added to the excitement). Hit a homerun rep count is 10, hit to the outfield rep count is 15, and if the ball is foul or stays in the in field rep count is 20. Also, if you swing and miss everyone does 5 burpees.
  • Inning:
    1. Merkin, LBC, Squats
    2. HR Merkin, Crunchy Frogs, Reverse Lunges
    3. Dips, Heels to Heaven, Monkey Humpers
    4. Mike Tyson's, Big Boys, Smurf Jacks
    5. Carolina Dry Docks, E2ks, Sumo Squats
    6. Alt Shoulder Taps, Flutters, Bonnie Blairs
    7. Overhead Claps, Reverse LBCs, Alt Side Squats
    8. Werkins, American Hammers, Imp Walker Squats
    9. Diamond Merkins, Freddie Mercuries, Jump Squats
Overall, we put a lot of bats on balls but no home runs. Apparently we need to hit the weight room, or maybe we are all just throwbacks to an era when hitting for average mattered. We finished all 9 innings and headed back to the flag for a minute or two of Mary.
