38th Birthday Q

Preamble:

Today is YHC’s 38th Birthday and it was also my first Q at The Phoenix.

Warm-O-Rama:

Quick mosey around the parking lot and circled up

  • Hangovers

The Thang:

Moseyed over to the baseball complex and PAX were met with a board of exercises inspired by Valley Girl’s Iron Cross BD. Instructions were given to run pass the dugouts perform an exercise then return to the middle before repeating on all 4 fields. For the first 3 sets we did 10 reps and on the 4th set 8 reps to equal 38 total for YHC’s birthday. Each time PAX return to the middle we deposited a 1 burpee toll to pass go for a total of 28 burpees. Exercises:
  • Good Morning Squats
  • Hand Release Merkins
  • Jim Braddocks
  • Bulgarian Ball Busters
  • Carolina Dry Docks
  • X’s and O’s
  • Plank Jacks
All Pax completed the 7 rounds with a few minutes to spare so we stopped at the picnic benches for some dips and irkins followed by a couple rounds of Mary until time.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

This is the 2nd year I’ve Q’d on my actual birthday and it’s quickly becoming a favorite tradition. Getting up early and pushing yourself to do something hard is a great way to set the tone for the year and make it even better than the last.
