B’day BD and Burpee Broohaha

AO: Grindstone

When: 2025-01-06

QIC: Vanna

PAX (9): Durty Nelly, Jugdish, Ma Bell, Omaha, Relient, Snowman, Spit Valve, Swiper, Vanna

Preamble:

Was the opportunity to start the first full week of the year off on the right foot.  It was wet and cold, but all HC's made it (we did have on pull their hc middle of night).  Happy new year.

Warm-O-Rama:

Moseyed up the parking lot and did some ssh, wmh, moroccan night club and finished with 5 burpees.

The Thang:

We started off with an Indian run around the parking lot perimeter.  We ended up stopping early to head to the rock pile and collect a coupon (we did complete the rest of the Indian run later). We dropped our coupons on the goal line and all huddled up at mid-field.  We commenced a 5 minute burpee test (yep, it's exactly what you expect - how many burpees can you do in 5 minutes).  We ranged from 21-60 (congrats to Ma Bell for the 60).  HINT - in about 90 days, I'll q again and we can repeat our 5 minute burpee test to see how we've improved. After that we went to the goal line and did elevens at every ten yards (lunge walking between the yard lines).  10 coupon curls + 1 coupon press; lunge walk 10 yards to 10 yard line; 9 coupon curls + 2 coupon press....rinse (literally thanks to the rain) and repeat. Once at the other goal line, we turned around and did elevens back: coupon bench press and coupon dead bug.  Mode of transportation - rifle carry. After that we finished doing an Indian run around the remainder of the perimeter of the parking lot.  3 minutes of mary followed.

COT:

Keep reaching out to those you know would benefit from f3, as we all know many folks that need the kind of lift this community can bring.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Each person went around during COT this morning and stated one goal for the year.  There were of course physical goals (e.g. ultra marathon, SMR, etc), but the prevailing one across the group can only be summarized as be more present/intentional.  I think we'd all benefit from getting better at this.
