Wolveroupon Extravaganza 5 yr F3 Anniversary and Bday

AO: Jericho

When: 2024-08-30

QIC: Hushpuppy

PAX (8): Bagel, F3 Benny, Hushpuppy, Pinkman, Simple Jack, Snowman, Soul Glo, UMass-Todd Doherty

Preamble:

YHC celebrated my birthday AND my 5 year F3 Anniversary.

Warm-O-Rama:

Warm up lap then back to the flag for the following (all with coupons): weed pickers, imperial squat walkers, willie mays hayes & good mornings.  11 reps each, 4 sets total = 44 reps (my new age as of a couple days prior). On to the picnic tables for derkins (11 reps), dips (11 reps) and step-ups with knee raises, alpha count (22 total reps) = 44 reps

The Thang:

Back to the flag to grab our coupons and then off to the football field for a DB Drill Suicide Wolveroupon Escalator!  Why not combine the Wolverine with our beloved coupons once again? PAX started on the goal line, performed db drill to the 10 yd line, came back and then performed 2 wolveroupons.  db drill to the 20 and back, then 4 wolveroupons, so forth and so on until we got to the opposing 30 yd line and for the sake of time I switched our exercise to BBSU with our coupons (by putting our feet into the coupons while performing the BBSU and not letting the coupon leave the ground). Once finished we had several exercises "in the round".  First off = PAX would rotate performing 5 coupon squats while the rest of the PAX alternated their positions of holding the coupon rifle carry style and then normal style of their choice.  This continued until all PAX had completed the coupon squats. Next,  all PAX performed 2 wolveroupon twists OYO (this is a wolverine twist with your coupon; a wolverine twist is in crossing your knee across your body during your leg raise between your merkins of the base wolverine). Then PAX would rotate performing 2 wolveroupon twists WITH a man maker finish/blockee raise while the rest of the PAX alternated their positions of holding a plank on their coupon.  This continued until all PAX had completed the coupon squats.  Mosey back to flag with coupons, 44 SSH until time hit 6:15.   while the rest of the PAX alternated their positions of holding the coupon rifle carry style and then normal style of their choice.  This contineud until all PAX had completed the coupon squats.

COT:

Prayers for family members with sick children and all those struggling with distress in their lives.  6th man this morning was Bagel, who shared his upcoming 1 year anniversary of sobriety!!  A tremendous accomplishment that he was hesitant to share, but it just so happened he was 6th man and he shared with us freely!  His message was simple; he wants to be a better man, a better husband, father and leader and he is thankful for F3 and the accountability it brings.  We found out Bagel is a tennis term (losing 6-0) and that although he isn't able to post every time, he always wants to be out here ITG with his brothers and cherishes each opportunity he has.  Amen to that!  Thank you for sharing, Bagel and congrats on your accomplishment!!

Naked-Man Moleskin:

In my 5 years since being EH'd by Whiz at church, I have seen quite a lot of change in my life.  I think the most positive change has been F3.  I ABSOLUTELY LOVE being ITG with my brothers and getting a little better each day.  Jobs have come and gone (ultimately those were blessings leading me to a different path that I love).  Bad medical news with my Mother, disappointing loss of family members and very stressful times have occurred within these 5 years but I always know what I can count on.  I can count on the love and support of my F3 brothers who have been there through it all and will continue to do so. It's important that we share our struggles and our triumphs during COT and beyond in coffeeteria, slack convos, etc.. - this helps us cope, be vulnerable for a brother to lend a helping hand or a listening ear, and support each other in any way possible.  Here's to 5 more years ahead of Fitness, Fellowship and Faith, together.  Aye!
