Preamble:

It's been one year since I took over as Site Q at Jericho and the time has come to pass the flag to a much deserving HIM. With that I wanted to embrace the holiday spirit and incorporate my personal favorite Christmas movie National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation into this Beatdown. Funny story about this movie, it became a tradition in my family to watch it on road trips growing up as we traveled for the holidays. It wasn't until years later I realized preteen boys really had no business watching this movie lol. But tradition must live on and I make sure to watch it every year. For me  it's one of those movies that continues to get better with age and there are countless one liners that I often repeat all year long.

The Thang:

Scene 1 - The Griswald Family Christmas Tree Collected a coupon along the way and Pax were met with set of cones in the shape of a Christmas tree. Each cone had an associated exercise and rep count. Repeated the circuit for 3 rounds.
  • Cone 1 - 5 Over Head Press
  • Cone 2 - 10 Squats
  • Cone 3 - 15 Skull Crushers
  • Cone 4 - 20 Curls
  • Cone 5 - 25 Bend Over and I'll Show you Rows
Scene 2 - Lighting the House Next we headed to the football field for a little Extension Cord Ladder to Light the Griswalds House. Started on the Goal Line with 1 Merkin + 1 BBSU then Bear Crawl (only fitting since Clark was Chicago Bears Fan) 10 Yards and perform 2 Merkins + 2 BBSU. Every 10 yard line we increased the rep count by 1 and every 25 yards we added a sprint back to the goal line to Check the Breaker. In total we Bear Crawled 100 yards and performed 66 Merkins and 66 BBSUs. Next continued our old fashioned family Christmas by loading up the front wheel drive sleigh and moseying our way to the next stop. Scene 3 - Shitter's Full At the Shaft we paid homage to Cousin Eddie's classic scene by doing a round of 11s with Mountain Man Poopers and Gas Pumpers Scene 4 - Squirrel Chaos Like a Circle Burp but with Flying Squirrels and Pax took turns yelling "Squirrel" Back to the flag for just a couple of rounds of Mary.

This morning was a special morning at Jericho as I passed the flag to the 4th site Q in the AO's history. I'm excited to see Tsunami take the reigns and lead us into the next chapter.
