Preamble:

With IronPAX on the horizon, YHC thought I'd do an IPC-like workout. Thang 1 was loosely inspired by a past IPC workout.

Warm-O-Rama:

Run the long way to the parking deck followed by a burpee-o-rama. There's your warmup.

The Thang:

Thang 1:

  • Run up the ramp to level 2, down the stairs to the bottom, up the stairs to the top, back down to level 2 and do 20 Bonnie Blairs (each leg)
  • Run up the ramp to level 3, down the stairs to the bottom, up the stairs to the top, back down to level 3 and do 300 No-Cheat Merkins
  • Run backwards up the ramp to level 4, down the stairs to the bottom, up the stairs to the top, back down to level 4 and do 40 Big Boy Sit-Ups
  • Run backwards up the ramp to level 5, down the stairs to the bottom, up the stairs to the top, back down to level 5 and do 50 Squats
  • Do SSH, Flutter Kicks, and Box Cutters while the 6 finishes up

Thang 2

  • Mosey over to the Lou Sobh amphitheater
  • Jacob's Ladder - down to the stage for 10 jump squats, up to the top for World's Worst Merkins. 10 Jump Squats every time at the bottom, ascending number of WWMs for each subsequent trip to the top (up to 7)

Mosey back to the flag for a set of hundos, ending right on time.

COT:

  • Count-a-rama (only 14 left, as 2 had to bounce early
  • Combo go-deep name-a-rama / prayer requests / praise reports. The theme was gratitude.
  • BOM: We locked arms as YHC took us out

Naked-Man Moleskin:

  • 3 pre-runners, 2 pre-ruckers, 2 pre-stair ruckers
  • 16 began the workout - 2 left for good shortly into the beatdown, 1 left in the middle of the beatdown due to a code brown then returned for the end. 14 at COT
  • If you're considering the IronPAX Challenge (which, DBAP, you should be) a typical workout might be doing something like Thang 1 multiple times but without the stairs and on a track
  • 5 for coffeeteria, 3 sweat stains left on the velvet couch backrest
  • We may no longer be welcome there
