Last BD of the year

AO: Firehouse

When: 2025-12-30

QIC: Seaman

PAX (3): DDoS, Ruby, Seaman

Preamble:

I took the Q, because I had planned on showing off our fun collection of tires, logs, battle ropes, and other implements of destruction to one of our F3 Cherokee brothers.  Well, he's got the flu-clap or something, so he's out.  But I was not going to let that go to waste, besides, I already had the truck loaded up. Firehouse had the honor of hosting the very last official BD in the Cumming region of 2025. It is certainly not the last thing we will do this year, because F3 Cumming knows how to finish strong, and always comes back for more. Make sure you come back out tomorrow for our last CSAUP of the year:  Tower of Power Be ready to start 2026 stronger than we finished 2025. So this morning we had 100% participation in the PR. Let's not get into the weeds with the numbers here.  100% PR is rare.

Warm-O-Rama:

We were already warm from the PR, so YHC explained the plan, made a minor adjustment, and we executed flawlessly.

The Thang:

Each pax starts at one of the stations, does 60 seconds work at a station, takes a lap
1.    Battle Ropes
2.    LBCs
3.    Tire (Deadlift, flip, carry, or Dercans)
4.    Mercans
5.    Ball slam (hold the 20# medicine ball over your head and slam it on the ground)
6.    Taint Touches (on bench)
7.    Telephone Pole (Carry, squat, press, landmine squat)
8.    Wrist Rollers with the 18lb bar (try overhand and underhand grip)

COT:

12/31/25, 0600-0800 New Year's Eve Tower of Power CSAUP event, breakfast at Waffle House to follow, more details on Slack. Prayers for the pax, including some praises. Do hard things, even when you don't have to.  That way you are better prepared to do hard things when you don't have a choice.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

I have written and erased this section a half a dozen times.  It gets a bit long and sappy.  (TWSS!) My M is getting a bit concerned that I am going to spend the afternoon here. Long story short: I just want to thank each and every one of you for helping me to accelerate this year.  You have provided so much encouragement, motivation, and friendship.  Whether you said "good job" during a BD, circled back for me during a run, hit the @seaman when I had not HC'd yet, or read my backblast from one of my Qs.  It is highly appreciated.
