When: 2026-01-03

PAX (3): Ruby, Script Kiddie, Seaman

Preamble:

Over the holidays I found the BD game:  Star Trek Loaded Deck.  A unique game created by our very own Janeway who designed and created this game for his very last Q with us before moving an hour away.  I asked if I could have a copy and he was kind enough to give me the deck of cards.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey, arm circles, willy mays hayes, taint touches

The Thang:

We played the game There are three types of cards:
  1.  Exercise (of course)
  2. Penalty (an opportunity to do more exercise)
  3. Special Order (the only card you may play when it is not your turn.  These cards call for changes to the exercise and/or reps, and are all unique.
A pax draws a card, all pax complete the required exercise Some examples of exercise cards: Bat'leth Training:  10 sumo squats, 10 Nolan Ryans, 10 Shoulder tap mercans, 10 No surrenders USS Stargazer:  10 Freddie Mercurys, 10 Crab humpers, 10 Pickle Pounders, 10 Gas pumps Jack Crusher:  10 SSH, 10 split jacks, 10 seal jacks, 10 smurf jacks, 10 plank jacks Agony Booth:  Air chair for 2 minutes while the pax are required to heckle each other. Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor, not a zoologist!:  10 Crunchy frogs, 10 Monkey Humpers, 10 Donkey Kicks, 10 Alligator Mercans, Duck walk The pax did a good job of completing an exercise, drawing the next card, and get completing the next exercise, so while there was some mumblechatter, it was not taking the place of acceleration.

COT:

Polar Plunge - details on Slack Christmas Party, Saturday, 12/5/26, Windermere Lodge.  It is a good time, put it on the calendar, do not miss out.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

This sounds like a deck of death, but each card is unique, no duplicates, every card has a picture of a character from one of the many flavors of Star Trek throughout the years.  Thanks again to Janeway for creating this and allowing me to use it again.  Miss you, brother.
