Preamble:

With My 37th birthday coming up on Saturday the 28TH I figured what better way to celebrate than take the Q at 4 sites this week as done by Mantooth previously. While discussing F3 workouts with a fellow Pax from Cleveland, TN (9 Volt) he told me of a workout he did that I wanted to bring back home. After warmer weather last week, the Cold front seemed unfortunate until I realized it was a great way to Honor USA Hockey beating Canada for Gold. As all the Winter Olympic athletes trained and performed in the snow and I we would push our bodies and continue to Accelerate regardless of the Cold weather. I challenged Pax to show up and show their love for America and not Fartsack or disappoint like Eileen GU.

Warm-O-Rama:

After a Cold & Windy Pre-Run we joined up with remaining Pax brave enough to face the cold.  As we approached 5:30 Pax gathered around my truck bed and collected two bricks that they would hold for this beat down. Once all Pax were issued their bricks we moseyed to the amphitheater. Pax set their bricks down for warmups.  We started off with a proper 37 SSH, followed by 6 nice and slow Weed pickers, willie mays hays, good mornings, and finished with some Micheals Phelps OYO. I proceeded to explain the thang while Pax grabbed their bricks and moved to starting position.

The Thang:

Beatdown based on a timed AMRAP for each level of Amphitheater. Pax completed a level of Amphitheater and ascended to the next level as a group until we completed all 6 levels. Timer was set for 6 minutes and Pax proceeded with as many sets as possible for each level. To reduce confusion, I set rep count for all exercises at 10 hoping it would allow for higher number of Sets. Level 1- Arm Circuit Curls, Press, Skull Crusher; Use wall to perform One-legged Squats; Rinse and repeat until timer. Level 2- Reverse Flys, Row, Kettle swing; On the wall for Clave Raises Rinse and repeat until timer. Level 3- On your back- fly, chest press, BBSU; Wall- Step Ups; Rinse and repeat until timer. Level 4- Merkin+ R & L Row; Dead Bugs; Front shoulder raise; (I forgot to include wall/box squats on this one). Level 5- Thrusters, American Hammers, Wall-Whirly Birds; Rinse and repeat until timer. Level 6- Merkins; Side Sholder Raises, Flutter Kicks; Run Lap Around Amphitheater; Rinse and repeat until timer. Mosey Back to the Flag. Fighting the bitter cold and fingers that were numb and burning provided a challenge that strengthen us all mentally.

COT:

Polar Plunge was great Success; NLB BD & Breakfast this coming Saturday; Hill Seeker 3/6-3/8; Cumming A.S.S Eating Challenge Coming up soon; RAMROD- Concord Church Car Show April-18th (Prayers for RAMROD as he's in charge of the event & for the event itself);  Prayers for Pinkman has been follow-up interview with CEO today; Seaman bringing Praise for several pax obtaining new Jobs, Several Pax are expecting; Thought of the day: Meeting People where they are Sharing our testimony, encouraging or speaking truth to someone is awesome but it carries more weight if we ourselves are standing on solid ground. If our lives are marked by anger, gossip, dishonesty, envy, or unchecked habits/sin, people see that and it can cloud the message we are bringing. It's not about perfection, but about alignment. When our words resemble or lives, our encouragement becomes authentic and our testimony becomes powerful. Like the fruit trees- Bearing fruit speaks louder than anything we say. Trim the Branches that aren’t Bearing Fruit. Colossians 4:5–6 “Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.” Titus 2:7–8 Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

As always, it's an honor to lead you men through a Q and I can't tell you thank you enough for the impact F3 has had for me. I was excited about bringing this workout to Blackwater and sharing with fellow Pax. However, to be honest I was disappointed in my workout design for the first 3 levels- it was honestly way too easy and didn't take the effort or exertion I was aiming for especially with the bitter cold. I Felt like I was letting Pax down. Luckily the Merkins started to ramp of the intensity on level 4, and it finished stronger. On positive note I feel this can be made a much better workout with some modifications- More reps and less exercises overall. This Q will help me with planning better Qs in the future. I also need to consider paying for a Music subscription as the random commercials definitely suck in the middle of a workout. Looking forward to my remaining 3 Qs this week!
