Great morning in Big Creek after a Monday night lightning storm lit up Forsyth County like Christmas and the 4th of July rolled into one! Chief and Hammer reminded us that shirt sleeves are for the Non-F3 attending, “Body by Budweiser” types and it was time to get the Anchor Man on!!!! Here’s what went down…
Warm Up’s:
SSH (with a dodge the moving car side step finish)
Windmills
Imperial Walkers
The Thang:
Planning to hit some uncharted BC territory, but due to the extensive rain, we elected to head back to the AstroTurf soccer fields:
Started with BlackJacks- LBC’s and Merkins lined up 50 yards apart. OYO PAX do 1 LBC, sprint 50 yards and do 20 merkins, sprint back for 2 LBC’s, sprint back for 19 Merkins, etc. all the way to 20/1.
In celebration of the kids that will be waking up several hours earlier than they are used to on Thursday morning, we lapped the field with a Zombie Walk/Indian Run with all PAX able to sprint 4 times.
Out to the big circle in the middle of the field and introduced the new PAX to the Bear Crawl Ring of Fire. All PAX circled up and bear crawled around the circle until the Q yelled “stop” and then we went around the circle and each PAX did 10 Carolina Dry Docks while the others planked. Rinse and Repeat.
Since this circle was so much fun, we decided to stay and do some Core exercises with some Captain Thor’s. 1 Big Boy Sit up, followed by 4 American Hammers, then 2/8, 3/12, etc. all the way up to 10/40. Even DCII’s rotation might have slowed a bit on these Hammers! Strong effort by everyone!
Mosey back to the flag for some quick rounds of Mary with Boxcutters and Dolly’s.
COT:
-Prayers for Reuben’s grandmother and Chief’s neighbor for healing from illness.
-Prayers for Sweeper and his wife on their new baby arriving any day now!
-Prayers for Darth’s daughter’s boyfriend that he meet and get to know the Lord
-Prayers/suggestions for Swiper’s wife who is seeking a women’s small group/bible study in the Fall
-Encouraged by the BC crew who continue to show up strong and excited! More to come on adding a day at this location
-Thanks as well to Rubicon guests who continue to support us with their visits! Foghorn posted today on the heels of hosting a painful Q at the Hooch on Monday. Glad to have him so someone could keep up with Hammer on the Sprint back to the flag!
