Preamble:

I've had so little to cheer about this year, so I had no choice but to allow the Black Water PAX to help me celebrate the Wolfpack's victory over the Buzzy Bees. Unfortunately, all the GT fans among us either fart sacked or were across town at the easy workout, kind of like the GT football practices...apparently.

Warm-O-Rama:

Standard 0.6ish mile warmup around the long way to the bottom of the stairs below the fountain. No time for the full mile; we have some hard things to do. To finish the warm-up, we did:
  • 48 SSH (one for each point the Pack scored)
  • Merkins
  • Plank Jacks
  • Imperial Walkers

The Thang:

Thang 1 Partner up; P1 runs one way, up the stairs (hopping on one leg) to the left to the winners level while P2 hops up the middle stairs to the winners level. When they meet, do 12 partner merkins. Continue on and down the opposite stairs back to the losers level for 9 partner burpes. Repeato x3 alternating run direction for a total of 48 winner merkins and 36 loser burpees Thang 2 Down to the amphitheater for a set of double 11s - Irkins on one end, Dirkins in the middle, Dips on the opposite end. Finale Jog back to the flag for Box Cutters and Hundos

COT:

Count-a-rama: 18 + DDoS who had to dip out a little early = 19 Name-a-rama; a buncha young'uns + YHC and Schneider. Welcome FNG Roast Beef! Announcements: Thanksgiving Day pick your own distance convergence run. Stay tuned for details. 12/6 - Amicalola Falls Half; Santa Ruck (stay tuned); F3 Cumming Christmas Party (sign up if you haven't) Prayers: Those suffering with and/or recovering from addiction. This is a particularly bad time of year for that; prayers for Yeah-Yeah's house hunting (I have mixed feelings); unspoken concerns BOM: YHC took us out in prayer, pledge, pic

Naked-Man Moleskin:

  • The year was 2002. Phillip Rivers and the NC State Wolfpack were 9-0 and ranked #10 in the country. On 11/2, we were poised to host an unranked 5-3 Georgia Tech team to go to 10-0. In an unfortunate (for me) sequence of events, Georgia Tech pulled off a 24-17 win, thus ending NC State's unbeaten season. Fast forward to 2025 almost to the day. An unbeaten GT team came into Carter-Finley and was handed their first loss. The Law of the Wolf is undefeated
  • Welcome FNG Roast Beef. For those who were fart sacking or at the easy workout across town, he works in the Ingles deli. It could have been much worse.
  • Get those 'staches growing and have conversations about men's health. Mine is looking particularly sexy. For those of you not participating, why do you hate men? Kidding. Sort of.
  • To follow-up, Yeah-Yeah is in negotiations for a house in Knoxville. He offered over the weekend and is now weighing a counter-offer. In other news, he was in Knoxville this weekend and didn't go running with me. Kidding. Sort of.
  • I enjoyed the morning with you fellas. Thanks for coming out and working hard.
  • MIAGD, Go Pack, and as always, GTHC
