Just Another B-day Beatdown

Preamble:

SMR’s coming up – need to train on the hills of BlackWater.   Just visited F3 Burlington and learned of the ‘wheel o Burpees’.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey towards Hill #1 with various running warmups (butt kickers, high knees, etc).  Circle up for standard stretches.   Added a variation of the world’s greatest stretch to the sound of groans and moans.

The Thang:

Hill #1

Sprint up the landing strip past 7 street lamps.  Mosey back depositing 1 merkin at each lamp. Run this a total of 4x

Sprint up big parking lot past 4 street lamps.  Mosey back depositing 7 Bonnie Blair’s at each lamp.  Run this 4x.

Another trip around the sun for YHC lead to 7 trips around the amphitheater depositing 4 burpees each time

Naked-Man Moleskin:

1. Praise and Thanks for the Normal.   For the 14 PAX and many others across the region, today was just another beatdown and today will be just another day.  YHC will be celebrating just another birthday.   But NORMAL or JUST ANOTHER DAY is exactly what many suffering people are yearning for.  They’re in a hospital bed, on Injured Reserve, Lonely with no one EH’ing them for fellowship, or something else.  If Health, Family, Love, and Friendship are NORMAL, then I’m very BLESSED.  I’m grateful for today’s normal and hope to use my strength and blessings to lift others up in one small way.
2. Be Kind to Yourself – “I’d rather be 5% or 10% worse and be KIND to MYSELF than 5% or 10% better and never satisfied” – hope to live this out during my next trip around the sun.
3. 3 year countdown to an epic CSAUP Trip in Chamonix / Mont Blanc.
