Preamble:

Birthday week celebrations continue for YHC. Thought it would be fun to try out some game ideas and see how it worked as a BeatDown.

Warm-O-Rama:

PAX moseyed up to the second level of the parking lot to circle up for 39 SSHs, Weed Pickers, Willie Mays Hayes, and some Cobra Pose. We then moseyed down to the football (soccer) field where YHC set up some cones.

The Thang:

YHC had some birthday games in mind to celebrate 39 years! The first game was Capture the Flag. We divided into two teams (one with 4 and one with 5). Cones were set up to mark the Neutral Zone where players could not be tagged. In order to cross into "Enemy Territory," PAX had to deposit 39 reps of an exercise that changed as games went on (Shoulder Taps (single count) and American Hammers (SC)). Once in Enemy Territory, PAX could be tagged and would have to return to the Neutral Zone and deposit 3 Burpees and 9 Merkins. Once a flag was captured and retuned to Home Base, the losing team performed 3 Merkins and 9 Squats. After a few games, YHC added in a wrinkle that if a PAX chose to, they could "sneak" by way of Bear Crawl or Crab Walk in Enemy Territory that allowed them to be "safe" and could not be tagged. If PAX dropped to their knees or six at anytime, they were "exposed" and could then be tagged by the enemy. After The Body destroyed the opposing team in matter of seconds, we adjusted the rules to "sneak" into Enemy Territory, but once the flag was attained, they could be tagged as soon as they exited the "base" where the flag was positioned. Although fun was being had by all, with a little less than 10 minutes left we changed games to Ultimate Frisbee. Typical Ultimate rules, but every time the frisbee hit the ground it was a turnover and the team who turned it over had to perform 3 Merkins and 9 Squats. Meanwhile, the other team could play on. This caused a lot more laughter than it should because we were all ABSOLUTELY TRASH at throwing and catching the frisbee. Granted it was dark and the frisbee was a piece of plastic playing make believe, pretending it was a frisbee... there was still no excuse for how bad we were at this. Lots of "You Suck!" and "My Bad"s were thrown out during this game, which caused more laughter. Play time was over and it was time to head back to the flag for COT.

COT:

Announcement for Dec. 6th events! Prayers for Ditch Witch and Fauci's step-mom and dad, and for all the other PAX dealing with sickness in their families.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Thanks for all who came out to The Phoenix to join me in some birthday games. And T-Claps for Geek Squad and Waldo for going all in since joining F3 recently!
